my housaversary was actually the ides of march.  and i had a kegger.  hence the leftover beers in the library...  but here's to another year of successful projects and progress!

liz's laundry

it was above 20 degrees.. so instead of a dress with leggings and boots, i wore a dress with tights and heels.  and got asked where i was interviewing.  and in my usual classy fashion i replied "anywhere that isnt here."

the liquor cabinet

after a year of debate, i decided to paint the liquor cabinet white to match the walls, rather than chocolate brown to match the trim.  and it brightens up the whole room.  and displays my array of [mostly goodwill] glassware.

$60 used dresser at the salv army.  my shopping buddy convinced me not to buy it when i bought the brown dresser, but it was still there when i went to pick up the next day... and my mad tape measuring skills told me theyd both fit in the back of the truck.  and my artistic vision was not for naught.  it looks fucking awesome if i do say so myself.

google+ features

awhile ago i noticed one of my snowy pictures had actual snow falling.  now i figured i don't live in harry potter so i dont actually have moving still pics.  i couldnt figure out where the hell the animation came from ... until today.

apparently google+ has gotten awesome creepy enough to recognize parts of your picture and enhance them appropriately.  case in point:  my 2013 christmas tree now has sparkly lights. 

i just cant even.

perhaps its time for me to outgrow picasa and figure out friggin google+.  its witchcraft.

faux flower arrangement

last weekend i spent some time at michael's.  always a dangerous prospect but i had certain things in mind.  and bought them.  and some fake flowers cos they were 50% off.  which i'm sure being michael's ..they usually are.  but whatevs.  i fell for it.  green and yellow match my apparent decor scheme and seriously?  who doesnt want a boquet with kale in it??

spaghetti chili pie

growing up, my mom used to make spaghetti pie.  spaghetti crust, a layer of cottage cheese, meat sauce, topped with cheese.  well i was really craving this comfort food goodness... but lacked most of the necessary ingredients.  after a rummage through my freezer, i came up with a medium sized tupperware of chili.  ahaaa!  i'll make spaghetti chili pie!  i said, to ...no one.
